Getting connected into a small group is vital in the life of a teen. 6-12th grades meet in the youth area at 9:45am for our opening time which includes fellowship, announcements, and an introduction to our lesson. We then go into small our small groups based on grade and gender to learn how the Bible applies to our lives. Everything kicks off at 9:45 and the café is open to purchase biscuits and gravy as well as drinks.
Wed Night Service
Every Wednesday we meet in the youth area starting at 6:45pm. We have a good time each week as we fellowship, play games, worship with music, and hear the Word of God. Doors open at 6pm and the café is open with fries, nachos, and drinks available for purchase.
We have a fellowship of some kind almost every month! We mix it up so, It may be at someone’s house, or it may be at the church, or we may do something crazy! Students, make sure you are connected to our REMIND system and parents, get connected to the Parent Update so you know when, where, and what to bring!
Local Missions Opportunities
We have different opportunities that come up during the school year where we do projects in our community. During the Summer we have Mission Mondays, where we take the day to help schools, ministries, families, etc., around Gainesville.
In-House Mission Trip
This past summer we hosted our own mission trip, MISSION: Gainesville! We partnered with In His Name Ministries to do Back Yard Bible Clubs in apartment buildings around Gainesville. We stayed on campus at Hopewell and had a great experience! Summer of 2019 we will be at it again.
This trip is open to all students, but is wonderful for students who have no mission trip experience. The vision is to help students (and Parents!) who are anxious about going far away for a mission trip. This allows them to see what a trip would look like close to home.
International missions is a great way to learn how mission work is accomplish in different areas around the world. Students are challenged by seeing how their home comforts are not enjoyed by everyone else in the world. They also see that worship may look radically different in other cultures. It is an awesome opportunity to learn how to work together in a team on dramas, testimonies, and presenting the Gospel. These trips are limited to High School students, or Middle School students 12 and older with a parent attending as well.
Summer camp is the biggest event of the year! Each June we get out of town and spend several days away from our normal routine for the purpose of growing in our relationship with God. We will have a guest speaker and a band for our services! There are tons of activities as well! Swimming, hiking, high and low ropes courses, and special contests and games that we do. It really is awesome!
